How It Works
Ear wax is the body's natural way of cleaning our ears and if it isn't causing any issues, it does not require removal.
However, in some situations it can cause reduced hearing, pain or discomfort, itching or problems with using hearing aids.
There are different ways to remove wax, but removal using an endoscope is considered the safest and quickest way, as it gives the healthcare professional the best view of the ear canal and ear drum.
It also allows, you the client, to see inside your own ears and witness how the wax has been removed.

These pictures were taken before and after wax removal using the endoscope and a suction tube, which is like a small vacuum.
The procedure usually takes between 15-30 minutes and can be done in the comfort of your own home sitting in a chair, with your head slightly tilted.

The procedure is more straight forward if you have used olive oil drops for 3-5 days beforehand, however please do not put anything in your ears at home before discussing your ear care with us!
